Susan M: Gentle Care Home Health Services, is the very best place to go if you need care. My Dad was in need of care and we hired Dalzina Glover, the owner of the Agency. I can not say enough or give higher praises for the wonderful, caring and attention she gave to my father. Dalzina and all of her crew are highly trained and really understand the kind of attention and care that people need.
My Dad really enjoyed the care and nurturing he received. He really felt like they were family. I first found out about Gentle Care from a good friend who had used them for her parents and in-laws care. She said that they made her life so much easier and her parents again felt like family with Dalzina and her crew. I recently recommended them to a good friend who had an elder aunt that was failing. My friend was under so much pressure and had so much anxiety as to how to handle her aging relative. She said as soon as she hired Dalzina’s agency, she was able to relax and they took all the pressure off of her. Her relative was given wonderful care.

There are no words to adequately explain how important, essential, necessary, both medically and spiritually, Gentle Care Home Health Services was to us recently for, not just one, but two relatives and a friend, all this year. As the family of our 98 year old cousin, I would be happy to tell anyone just what Gentle Care meant to us in our time of need. A positive covid test of the patient made it all more difficult… it was a dire and desperate situation… and then came Gentle Care.
They said “no problem” to the covid issue, took every precaution, but still cared for our cousin, and it was a magnificent gift to us all. They were there til the end, and they were extraordinary to the end. They work together seamlessly, as an incredible team, and they do what needs to be done for the patient. They are very much in tune with the patient-not just there as babysitters. Dalzina, in particular, has seen it all, and has such wonderful knowledge of timings and suggestions, and is a master of not only being completely and actively attuned to the patient, she is also communicating with the family, and involved in the patients health care.
She is a master of it all, and a great person, as all of the Gentle Care Home Health Services caregivers I met… I would not hesitate for one minute to hire Gentle Care Agency, and I will be delighted to answer any and all questions. As I said, there are no words to completely express how wonderful Gentle Care was to us, and how grateful we are for them.

I cannot say enough good things about Gentle Care Home Health Services. Several members of my family had used Dalzina to provide at-home-care and they raved about her. So when my mother needed care four years ago. I did not hesitate to call Gentle Care HHS and I have not regretted this decision for one minute.
The professionalism and caring that have consistently been shown by both Dalzina and her staff have given me a sense of peace that my mother is being well cared for. I feel very confident in the services provided and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Dalzina and her exemplary caregivers are true treasures. Unfortunately we discovered them very late in my aunt’s life, after several years of mostly disinterested, unskilled and untrained individual “caregivers” and unreliable agencies, who had little experience and were just unfamiliar companions to a 98 year old confused patient. However, I was recommended just in time to Dalzina by a trusted friend. she entered the home to provide care for this 98 year old patient who was sliding steadily into dementia, losing her mobility, and experiencing sudden decline in vision.
Dalzina took the wheel and handled this experience with skill and grace, eventually alternating 12 hours shifts with her two equally well trained and very experienced caregivers. On the first visit to my aunt of any of Gentle Care caregivers, Dalzina stayed with them until they knew the house well, knew the patient, and the patient knew them and everyone was settled and comfortable. Only when she was totally comfortable that the patient had adjusted to the new caregiver, did she leave. When our aunt came down with Covid, Dalzina’s agency still came… no matter what. They advised us and the doctor when they recognized that it seemed to be time for hospice to be called in, to come and consider adjusting orders and meds, kept us posted on each transition and change in the patient’s condition, and oversaw a peaceful and painless death, all because Dalzina was carefully administering. the medications in order to stay ahead of any pain or fear, keeping things calm and comfortable, as they had been intended.
Second Experience: A week later, we had a call from our cousin whose spouse was in home hospice in the end stages of cancer. Hospice was visiting, but things were very uncomfortable and even the home helpers following the instructions could not ease the pain or calm the situation. Covid also struck that house at the same time. We referred Dalzina, who communicated with the hospice, adjusted meds and achieved complete comfort and a peaceful night for all involved. A true gift in a situation like that… Here, too.
Third Experience: Two weeks later, we had a friend who was extremely ill in assisted living, and had to be hospitalized and has no family. Dalzina’s agency had worked daytime shifts with the patient at the assisted living and continued to do so at the hospital. this continuity was amazing and beautiful to someone who is alone in the world. It is hard to imagine what would have happened in any of these three situations, had we not found Dalzina in time for these people, each of whose life was made immensely calmer, less frightening and more comfortable by her presence. She is an expert with dementia, trained all medical conditions, and is also a delightful companion to the elderly, driving them to appointments, or wherever they need to go.
